Bosnia Ready For FTA With Kosovo
Prishtina. 6 November 2004 - The Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed readiness to start the negotiations on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Kosova, UNMIK officials said in press conference.
The spokesperson for UNMIK Pillar IV, Chris Litiere said that the negotiations on FTA with Bosnia and Herzegovina would start soon, because the Bosnian government has informed that it has made all necessary preparations for that. “Such agreement would improve further integration of Kosova in the region and stimulate regional trade,” said Litière.
Litière said that the experts of Kosova and Macedonia are working to come up with their versions on FTA. He said that the talks on FTA with Macedonia would start within two weeks.
Kosova has entered into FTA only with Albania so far.
