Trans-Pacific Trade (TPP) talks coming to Canberra and Sydney
The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) being negotiated between Australia, US and 10 other Pacific Rim countries has been stalled for the past few months. But US is still pushing on behalf of its pharmaceutical, IT, and other industries to reduce our rights to affordable medicines, internet freedom, local culture, labour rights and protection of the environment. TPP negotiations are being held in Canberra from October 20, followed by a TPP Trade Ministers meeting in Sydney on October 25. If you live in Canberra or Sydney please come to these events:
