Environment and the people - 24 Mar 2008[off-topic]
Once upon a time there was enough space and time for the people to live
and enjoy life. They take all measures to make their environment
pollution free and develop a sustainable surrounding. They see certain
dreams and after the time limit is comleted they themself break them.
As a result, they believe dreams are just imagination of our mind and
they can never be fulfilled. However, in modern era things have
changed. Life of the people is full of problems. There is no free time
to think freely. People need something ...new.
A basic aim for modern people should be to become aware of the complex
nature of the natural and built environments resulting from the
interaction of their biological, physical, social, economic and
cultural aspects, and acquire the knowledge, values, attitudes and
practical skills to participate in a responsible and effective way in
anticipating and solving problems and in management of the quality of
environment.
So, we can say that there is a need for ’Environmental Education’.
