What does Obama really believe - 23 Sep 2008[off-topic] What does Obama really believe? Since a large majority of the media has been unwilling to ask Senator Obama any tough questions who can actually answer that question. As I have watched the Presidential election of 2008 unfold over the last 18 months I have rarely seen the media scrutinize Barack Obama on his many contradictions or misrepresentations. But these same media surrogates especially NBC, MSNBC, and CNN have the audacity to defend their biased coverage. It is an insult to every American voter. Here is one way we can rectify the injustice: whoever the Media and Hollywood are supporting, vote for the other candidate. If the American voters knew what Obama’s true beliefs were he would have no chance of being elected President. His comments in San Francisco contradict what he says in his populous speeches on both Christianity and our right to bear arms (2nd Amendment). What he advocated for (the most extreme abortion legislation being pushed by people on the far left) in the Illinois State Senate contradicts what he has recently said so he avoids answering the question now by saying it is above his pay grade. During the early Democratic primaries he supported amnesty for illegal immigrants, but become vaguer on illegal immigration issues when the primaries moved south, and I still am not sure where he stands on issuing illegal alien’s driver’s licenses. In his acceptance speech at the DNC Obama said he will support and maintain a strong military, though his voting record and recent comments don’t support his promises. I have not heard Senator Obama position on affirmative action although he often sides with the courts so I guess he supports legislating from the bench and forgot that the Constitution says all legislative powers are granted and vested in Congress. He says he will only increase taxes on the wealthy, however his tax increases will include the majority of American small businesses which will have disastrous consequences for employees and customers and Obama tax increases on American corporations will ensure the outsourcing of the remaining (millions) middle-class jobs left in America while his (Senator Barack Obama) capital gains tax increases will paralyze investment capital needed to create new jobs. Are all Harvard graduates this naïve and reckless? And throwing more money at a dysfunctional education system (failing public schools) has not and will never work. Changing administrators, rewarding good teachers, and firing bad teachers is the first step to revitalizing public education. Bringing back discipline, dress codes, and providing moral and ethical leadership is the next step to reestablishing honor and respect. Increasing standards and providing academic support for every student is necessary to prepare students for their future (global commerce). But terminating bad teachers with tenure is very difficult because of the teacher’s union (NEA) and Senator Obama strongly supports these unions. And mention morality, discipline, and dress codes and the ACLU whose philosophies are very similar to Obama’s beliefs continue their assault on our American value system. Moreover Senator Barack Obama’s support for the UN a decaying dinosaur and WTO another useless bureaucracy while continually changing his positions on diplomacy with Iran, Russia, China, and other nations that sponsor terrorism or violate human rights indicates he doesn’t understand the complexity of foreign policy. But what does Obama believe our role (America) is in protecting Israel sovereignty. And his promise of holding Wall Street accountable is even more confusing since he has been taking large donations from these irresponsible corporations (Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac). Where actually does Senator Obama stand on NAFTA for I have heard several different comments that seem to reflect the views of the state he is campaigning in? Thus, if a voter believes in Big Brother government dependency, Socialism a Marxist doctrine, Affirmative Action preferential treatment and quota programs that discard merit, Amnesty for twenty million illegal immigrants, Higher Taxes that will lead to an economic collapse (a Depression), Gun Control because politicians know Americans have reached a boiling point, increased Wasteful Spending in earmarks and pork barrel projects redistributed back to supporters that are payoffs (bribes), weakening our Military through Congressional cuts and outsourcing our technological advantages, Abortion without any restrictions or regard for human life, removing Religion from all aspects of life, Legislating from the bench, the corruption that has ruined the spirit of what Unions were suppose to represent, softening Penalties for convicted criminals and disregarding the victim’s rights, Appeasement (similar to Europe) which has never worked, then you should vote for the Obama-Biden Presidential ticket. And it is true these views are far to the left of Mainstream America, but that is where Senator Barack Obama the most liberal member and Senator Joe Biden the third most liberal member of Congress reside. Therefore I am unequivocally sure that Obama and Biden are nowhere near the middle where I and most Americans are struggling to survive. And you can put lipstick on a member of Congress on the far left, but it is still a jackass. During the primaries Senator Hillary Clinton described voter’s uncertainty as “buyer’s remorse”. And Senator Joe Biden admitted America is facing serious domestic and foreign challenges when he said “Now is not the time for on-the-job training.” Later Senator Clinton asked Americans “Who do we want to answer the White House phone at 3:00 a.m. when there is a world crisis?” So on that cold 4th of November day in 2008 when you are heading for the polls to vote ask yourself one question “What does Senator Barack Obama really believe?” Thanks and have a great day
