Kudos to the splendid article entitled “Indo-Japan economic pact to see the light of day within year” as brought out by Economy Bureau, Financial Express (India). May I also take this opportunity to thank bilateralsdotorg for this gem of an article.
In consonance with popular beliefs, interraction between India and Japan began since the sixth century in various sectors. It is understood that the constitution of formal bilateral relations allowed both the countries to cement this relationship in terms of at least six major agreements between 1952 to 1986 covering such diverse fields as air services, culture, commerce and science and technology.
Truly, all the credit for the proposed accord goes to the extraordinary vision of the respective prime ministers of India and Japan as the economic treaty when formalized between the two countries would usher in newer vistas of opportunities in a plethora of diverse sectors inclusive of infrastructure, chemicals, telecom and transportation.

Interesting, but in the whole article I couldn’t find any actual objection to what’s in CAFTA. There’s no specific reference to any provision, no analysis of what effect the provisions might have on the economy. There’s only a general description of how the public sector is good, and the private sector is bad. Pretty simplistic and unhelpful.

Estoy en contra del TLC asi como se "negocio" porque esta claro que traera muchas cosas negativas (mas que las positivas). Con solo el ejemplo de los medicamentos genericos... si ahora la caja del seguro tiene problemas para dar algunas medicinas caras, cuando se prohiban los genericos lo unico que podran dar seran aspirinas.
En temas de agricultura, me pareceria una estupidez total, caer en la trampa de los gringos de tener que comprar semillas para poder sembrar... cuando aqui y en todo el mundo (hasta hace unos años) se venia sembrando de la manera tradicional (sin pagar por las semillas). Creo que esto seria imposible para muchos agricultores del pais que apenas logran sobrevivir actualmente.
Pero lo que mas me da desconfianza es la falta de humildad de Arias y sus ecuaces. Todos parecen estar cortados con la misma tijera... pero que no tienten mucho a un pueblo cansado porque les podria salir el tiro por la culata... y esto no es una amenaza es historia. Ningun pueblo por mas manso que sea se ha dejado gobernar por arrogantes sin hacer nada.
Y como dice el mensaje anterior... HAY OPORTUNIDAD DE CAMBIAR Y EL CAMBIO SE HARA CON EL VISTO BUENO DE ARIAS O SIN EL; DEBERIA DEJAR SU ARROGANCIA Y SU PREMIO NOBEL EN EL ARMARIO Y RECORDAR QUE SOLO ES UN SERVIDOR PUBLICO EN UN TRABAJO TEMPORAL DE 4 AÑOS.

Nuevamente se cierra la mente de los que si estan haciendo dinero dentro del Ice o Ganando indirectamente a costa de lo que el ICE "les genera", es logico que no les convenga que los servicios de telecomunicaciones se abran porque perderian mucho dinero de toda la gente que a fuerza deben utilizar al ICE como unico provedro de estos servicios.
Para nadie es un secreto que actualmente el sistema bancario a demostrado eficiencia que antes no tenia.
Entonces a que nos conduce esto.... por que estamos... por el beneficio de los usuario o por el beneficio de UNOS POCOS..... que ya saben quienes son que no qceptan que se les termine "LA FIESTA!!!!", no hay nada mas que decir

Soy un costarricense quisiera referirme al tema comentado
En Costa Rica, como me imagino que existe en otras partes, se ha implementado un plan de acción para adoctrinar a todo aquel que se encuentre dentro del ciudadano común.
Existen tres organizaciones que copeeran para el logro de este objetivo:
1) La religión
2) Los medios de comunicación comunes y de transmisión masiva
3) La elite antinacionalista gobernante en el país
Por medio de la administración integral de estos elementos por parte de los antinacionalista y traidores patrios, se ha logrado un estilo de criterio dentro de nuestros compatriotas al cual la lucha por sus derechos es una acción de personas que no cooperan con la salud del país y por supuesto va en contra de los valores inculcados por la religión servilista y la educación, la cual es manejada en un 90% al antojo del gobierno traidor. Como es el perfil de estas personas? Pues sencillo solo veamos plasmado los comentarios en los parrafos anteriores de mis compatriotas donde se demuestra un simple desinteres por la realidad nacional.
Quienes son estás organizaciones antinacionalistas, por un lado tenemos a la religión la cual se encuentra encaminada a la adoctrinación del pensamiento débil y antinacional, organizaciones religiosas dentro de nuestro país instan a las personas a cooperar con estados asesinos y genocidas como Israel por medio de donaciones, pero aparte de estás organizaciones que se encuentran dominadas en un 90% por el gobierno sionista americano, vemos a la decadente Iglesia Católica Costarricense la cual se encuentra dueña del 31% de los acciones de la Florida Ice Farm empresa de Cerveza Costarricense de capital privado que funciona como monopolio dentro del país.
Y por supuesto nuestros medios de comunicación los cuales son parcializados en un 100% al gobierno traidor , denuncias como las que relizamos dentro de la web son una causa pérdida dentro de los medios de comunicación nacionales, pero lo más alarmante es como se venden a los invasores extranjeros, convirtiendo a la red de comunicación nacional en otra empresa antinacionalista con el único fin de lucrar de la familia costarricense sin importar el deterioro de la misma.
Al final que resultado se puede tener de nuestros iguales patrios si su medios de información y formación se encuentra sucuestrada por extranjeros y antinacionalistas, son personas serviles, faltas de un criterio importante y obviamente no lo pueden tener si no cuentan con una manera para formarlo.
Yo no estoy contra ustedes, es mas lo insto a que analicen mis comentarios hermanos de Costa Rica, la solución a nuestros problemas no se encuentra dentro de la mentira extranjera sino en cada uno de nosotros, aquellos que hemos crecido aquí en nuestro país, al que amamos y en verdad nos importa. Muchos de ustedes no son culpables de no relizar un cambio importante ya que nunca se les ha permitido relizarlo en su mente, pero este es el momento de que saquemos a los antinacionalistas de nuestro país y los hagamos pagar sus crimenes de traición. Construyamos de nuevo la Costa Rica que en verdad nos sirve y sigamos líderes que nos dignifiquen como pueblo y no estás personas que se han burlado de cada uno de nosotros y contribuyen con la inmoralidad y la decadencia de nuestra sociedad.

"Aquí estamos todos", dijo el expresidente Rodrigo Carazo, de ingrata memoria. Es curioso, porque yo no estaba ahí, y la última vez que revisé sigo siendo un ciudadano costarricense con plenitud de derechos cívicos. Tal vez por eso, y queriendo aclarar, Carazó afirmó que "Este no es un asunto de 38 votos, es un asunto de patria". Así rectificó su mensaje inicial: No es un asunto de democracia, de contar los votos, sino de quien grita más fuerte. Pero, ¿qué entiende Carazo por "asunto de patria"? ¿Cómo se resuelven ese tipo de asuntos, sino es por la vía democrática?
En la marcha de protesta de ayer contra el TLC esa fue la tónica de los participantes. Quererse arrogar la representatividad de un pueblo costarricense que no les confío la mayoría de los votos en las elecciones de febrero pasado. Eugenio Trejos, el rector del TEC (y ahora denominado "el rector de la Patria"), demandó "Que se vayan los diputados si no van a gobernar para el pueblo". ¿A cuál pueblo se refiere? ¿A los 4 millones de costarricenses que salieron a trabajar ayer como cualquier otro día o a los 23.500 que protestaron contra el TLC? El diputado José Merino le exigió al presidente Arias que "abra los ojos, vea y escuche a la patria". ¿Cuál era esa patria? ¿Formo parte de ella o soy apátrida? Epsy Campbell, presidenta del PAC, no se quedó atrás y se declaró como parte de "los ciudadanos responsables que queremos hacer patria". ¿Cómo se hace patria? ¿Los que no participaron en la marcha porque estaban muy ocupados trabajando no hicieron patria? Su líder Ottón Solís no se quedó atrás y le recomendó (¿advirtió?) al gobierno que escuchara "al pueblo expresándose". Sin embargo su diputado Alberto Salom puso las cosas en claro y refiriéndose a los que apoyan el TLC dijo "No tenemos que hablar con gente que ya perdió el respeto por ellos mismos y la sensibilidad". O sea, el "diálogo" del cual hablan los opositores del TLC no consiste en sentarse a hablar y debatir ideas (de por sí eso ya se ha hecho por casi 4 años) sino en hacer lo que ellos digan.
¡Qué arrogancia! Ya la mayoría del pueblo costarricense se ha manifestado a favor del Tratado de Libre Comercio. Lo hizo contundentemente el año pasado en unas elecciones donde el acuerdo estuvo sobre el tapete y ninguno de los candidatos escondió sus preferencias al respecto. No hubo gallo tapado. Ganó un candidato que apoyó el TLC, así como fueron electos una mayoría absoluta de 38 diputados pro-TLC. Aún más, desde entonces las encuestas señalan unánimemente que más del 60% de los costarricenses apoyan el tratado, contra un 35% que se opone a él. Ya las cartas están sobre la mesa, y ahora lo que queda es aprobar el TLC y ver si los grupos que se oponen querrán arrogarse la representatividad del "pueblo" o la "patria" por la fuerza. Carazo ya lo dijo, "no es cuestión de votos". Para ellos es la democracia de la calle, la única en donde los votos no son contados y donde no existe igualdad ante la ley. Las voces de ellos valen más que las de nosotros.
Sí, fue una marcha pacífica y todos deberíamos estar contentos de ello. Pero no perdamos de vista el mensaje de los manifestantes: "Hagan lo que les decimos o aténganse a las consecuencias".
Sin embargo, leyendo hoy las noticias sobre la marcha me quedó un buen sabor de boca sobre el poder del capitalismo. Aún en los ambientes más hostiles el sistema de libre mercado se abre paso. Es así como el Diario La Extra menciona que "En medio de los gritos de ’No al TLC’ también se escuchaban a los vendedores a todo pulmón: ’lentes a mil, a mil; papas a doscientos; lleve la gelatina; a quinientos el agua’".

Si contamos como lo hace Rodrigo Arias, que dice que 3 cuadras equivalen a 50.000 personas (http://www.diarioextra.com/2006/enero/30/nacionales02.php), entonces 16 cuadras de la avenida 2 equivalen a 266.666 personas. Eso sin tomar en cuenta las manifestaciones regionales.
Además, el hecho de no haber participado en la marcha no significa apoyar al TLC, por ejemplo, de mi familia únicamente asistió una cuarta parte (yo!) y ninguno de ellos favorece el tratado.
Le aseguro también que hay muchos casos en los cuales no fue posible la asistencia a la marcha por miedo a perder el trabajo, sobre todo en empresas trasnacionales en donde es prohibido comentar siquiera el tema por temor a ser despedido. Conozco varios casos.
Por otro lado, si defender el futuro de los compatriotas más ignorantes y pobres (a quienes se les ha negado el conocimiento necesario para tener opinión propia) por medio de una marcha pacífica es para usted “crear una pandilla violenta”, entonces no sé qué entenderá usted por democracia.
Para terminar, le recomiendo poner menos atención a los medios de comunicación manipulados. ¿Cree usted realmente que los intelectuales y universitarios del país tenemos intereses escondidos?

Como pueden ser tan falsos y manipuladores de la verdad. Lamento que los sanganos de los sindicatos traten de desestabilizar este país que tanto nos ha costado mantener en paz, sólo para mantener los privilegios descarados de que gozan estos sanganos.
No fueron 200 mil, MENTIRA , fueron 23 mil personas, es decir que en un país de 4 millones de habitantes, la gran manifestación se dió con esa gran masa de TRABAJADORES de verdad que se mentuvieron en sus labores demostrando su absoluto apoyo al TLC.
Me da miedo que estos fanáticos, comunistillas fustrados pretendan crear una pandilla violenta contra los hombres y niños de este país. No se equivoquen, este país esta lleno de personas que defenderan a como dé lugar esta paz que queremos heredarle a nuestros hijos. I wonder whether the Islamic Gold Dinar will not be the common currency, on euro-lines, for an area wider than the Islamic World.
The point at issue is that, Malaysia is a member of the Association of Southeast Asia (ASEAN).
The Charter, which will be adopted at the 13th ASEAN Summit to be held in Singapore in November 2007, will protect a person’s rights to life and liberty.
The Summit will also confer legal personality to ASEAN and provide ASEAN with an enhanced institutional framework.
The question arises however whether the Islamic World Plus ASEAN Plus Four (ASEAN Plus China, Japan, Korea and India) does not have an opportunity to create a Community, not a rules-based bloc along the lines of the European Union, before November 2007, thereby protecting a person’s right to property.
This Community would then be conferred legal personality and provided with an enhanced institutional framework at the 13th ASEAN summit to be held in Singapore in November 2007.
Thereby all three rights to life, liberty and property will have been safeguarded in the Islamic World Plus ASEAN Plus Four.

This is interesting as ASEAN is a Community which is being set around a currency system and as, as a result of this new currency system, the IMF has no more role (to fulfill) except that of bailing out the US.

After attending the ASEAN Business and Investment Seminar (BIS) in Cebu - Philippines in December 2006 and reading the book I just quoted,
I wonder whether the ASEAN market is not primarily a market which is going to be “exploited” not by SMEs (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises), but only by big businesses (Multi-National Corporations - MNCs) which are already operating internationally.
In His Excellency’s December 09, 2006 address to the ASEAN BIS Seminar in Cebu - Philippines, His Excellency Ong Keng Yong, Secretary-General of ASEAN pleaded however for the integration of the economies of ASEAN and for the maintaining of ASEAN in the centre stage, making the ASEAN concept real in the minds of people.
Let me first say this: I am a firm believer in Freedom (and Truth) and thus in the freedom of contract. Nobody can thus be prevented from concluding a contract whereby the partners set up a corporation which eventually becomes a MNC.
I have no problems with private corporations where the partners’ liability does not disappear.
The problem is however that whereas I cannot give legal personality to my dog or my car, the granting of the privilege of legal personality to the PUBLIC corporation at present results in the partners that make up the corporation not being fully liable for the actions of their corporate tool

When I see that the quoted book refers several times to a corporation with such ASEAN roots as McDonald’s Hamburger Restaurant, I have my deepest doubts as to the real intentions of some of the promoters of ASEAN.
ASEAN wants to integrate the economies of its member states and wants to maintain ASEAN in the centre stage, making the ASEAN concept real in the minds of people, said His Excellency Ong Keng Yong, Secretary-General of ASEAN, in His Excellency’s December 09, 2006 address to the ASEAN BIS Seminar in Cebu - Philippines.
Will giving MNCs more leeway to “exploit” the ASEAN market make the ASEAN concept real in the minds of people? Will that maintain ASEAN in the centre stage? I don’t think so.
It is humbly submitted that having an Islamic World Plus ASEAN Plus Four gold Dinar in one’s wallet would really make the ASEAN concept real in the minds of people and would maintain ASEAN in the centre stage.
I therefore wonder whether, as I said in the paper “A Currency for the ASEAN market - Freegold”, which I made available to the participants at the ASEAN BIS seminar in Cebu - Philippines in December 2006, it would not be time to realise that these objectives can only be achieved if ASEAN does not tolerate currencies’ exchange rates dominating trade but adopts the opposite policy of allowing ASEAN to consolidate (store) its produced wealth in Freegold.
Do we cling to the dollar-IFMS (International Financial and Monetary System) or do we opt for ASEAN Freegold, for the ASEAN gold-euro, the gold-Dinar?
Nothing prevents the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR from copying what the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) is doing and keep gold (the Mona Lisa) in the strong rooms (the Louvres) of its central banks and marking it to market price on a quarterly basis. Every individual in an ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR nation would then be free to copy the concept of Freegold. By the same token, the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR concept will have been made real in the minds of people and the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR will have been maintained in the centre stage. How else could ASEAN possibly integrate the economies of its member states?
This, Freegold, is the total opposite of the absurd IMF virtual SDR-situation
Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) is a potential claim on the freely usable currencies of International Monetary Fund members.
It is neither a currency, nor a claim on the IMF.
SDRs are defined in terms of a basket of major currencies used in international trade and finance. At present, the currencies in the basket are the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yen and the United States dollar.
The amounts of each currency making up one SDR are chosen in accordance with the relative importance of the currency in international trade and finance.
The determination of the currencies in the SDR basket and their amounts is made by the IMF Executive Board every five years.

This seems to indicate that SDRs constitute the reserve of the non-existing IMF-currency.
Article IV, Section 2, of the IMF Articles of Agreement says that exchange arrangements may include inter alia (under (b) (ii)) cooperative arrangements by which members maintain the value of their currencies in relation to the value of the currency or currencies of other members.
Freegold is the opposite of this absurd (virtual) situation.
The IMF wants its members to use/take the SDRs as reserve.
We, the MUSLIM and ASEAN PLUS FOUR - People in the know of the fact that the dollar-International Financial and Monetary System (IFMS) cannot be expected to start making the CONCEPT OF GOLD-WEALTH-RESERVE public, want Freegold as reserve.
In this situation, the IMF has no more role (to fulfill) except that of bailing out the US.
In this situation, Freegold in the European (and the Islamic World Plus ASEAN PLUS FOUR) Systems of Central Banks (EIWA4SCB - what do you think about this acronym?) have the same role to fulfill as the Mona Lisa in the Louvre.
A wealth reserve in the strong room (the Louvre) of a Monetary Union with a currency, the euro.
Every individual, not the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR, is now free to copy the concept of Freegold (Freely priced gold, no longer “fixedly” priced gold) as wealth reserve (no backing or redeemability).
Just like anybody can come to the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR and determine for herself what is the nature of the ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR economy and can then appreciate and/or copy it.
THE ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR is a COMMUNITY which is in the process of being set up around a currency system-in-the-make on euro lines.
THE ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR knows that Free Trade is not possible without Free Migration. That’s why for the moment, ASEAN is working to facilitate intra-ASEAN migration for skilled labour.
THE ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR gold Dinar will be introduced on the sidelines of the June 2007 Cebu ASEAN, ASEAN PLUS FOUR and EAST ASIAN TOURISM SUMMITS, after the Greater Depression will have started in the US. (see section 2 of this message)

The currencies in the latter two countries are called dollars
(and thus follow the (mis-)fortunes of the US dollar).
Like the pound sterling, those currencies will collapse together with the US dollar.

will NOT extend to East Asia or ASEAN PLUS SIX.)
In the meantime, the People’s Bank of China is wondering into what to diversify its foreign exchange reserves. As mentioned above, the latest news is that China has formed a company to diversify these foreign exchange reserves

Even the words sometimes used “protection”, “sanction”, “embargo” and the like - suggest hostility.
They carry the implication of warfare - of doing something to restrain someone,

In my ears the words « economic bloc » carry too much hostility, this time not vis-a-vis other ASEAN-members as argued in the Asia Times article, but vis-a-vis non-members such as the four of ASEAN Plus Four and the rest of the Islamic World who will nevertheless be part of that community.
This gold Dinar will establish a real ISLAMIC WORLD PLUS ASEAN PLUS FOUR COMMUNITY in June 2007 at Cebu - Philippines ASEAN, ASEAN PLUS FOUR and EAST ASIAN TOURISM SUMMITS, after the Greater Depression will have started in the US.
At the 13th ASEAN summit to be held in Singapore in November 2007, this Community will then be conferred legal personality and provided with an enhanced institutional framework.
That’s how TRUTH will be achieved.
In that way, trade between ASEAN and the EU will be possible, while the US and its dollar will collapse.
