Plata Says Colombia to Sign Investment Treaty With Japan: Video

July 2 (Bloomberg) — Colombia’s Trade Minister Luis Guillermo Plata talks with Bloomberg’s Susan Li from Tokyo about negotiations with Japan for a bilateral investment treaty. The pact with Japan may be signed "in the next couple of weeks" and he will visit South Korea to sign another treaty, Plata said. Plata, who stands down Aug. 7 when President Alvaro Uribe leaves office, said April 6 that Colombia will attract $10 billion in foreign direct investment this year, up from $7.5 billion last year, as companies seek to tap into its recovery from a recession last year.
