Cambodia urges Russia to expedite EAEU trade agreement talks
As Cambodia looks to launch and facilitate socio-economic recovery, Cambodian authorities have urged Russia to speed up arrangements for trade agreement talks.
Representative of the Prime Minister Hun Sen, Pan Sosak met with the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry of Russia to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Representative Sosak requested that businessmen and tourists from Russia visit Cambodia. Sosak also called for Russian investment in Cambodia in automobile manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, transportation and logistics, science and technology and vaccine production. The Russian officials were urged to speed up negotiation for the trade agreement of Cambodia with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Russian officials accepted the request to boost investment and expedite trade talks and promised to bring the proposal to relevant officials and businesses to visit and invest in Cambodia.
