’Too many’ Asian free trade agreements survey finds

A survey of Asian businesses by HSBC has found that there are too many free trade agreements and they are too complicated.

There were over 50 free trade agreements among the eight Asian nations covered by the survey.

Companies are put off from using those agreements because of their complexity, according to Noel Quinn, HSBC’s regional head of commercial banking for Asia-Pacific.

He was speaking to the BBC’s Ali Moore.
