In the second panel ’ISDS: Context, features and problems’ James Zhan, Director of the Investment and Enterprise Division, UNCTAD; Celeste Drake, Trade & Globalization Policy Specialist at the AFL-CIO, The American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations and Jan Kleinheisterkamp, Associate Law Professor at London School of Economics gave presentations on the context, feautures and problems of ISDS.

The third panel ’Investor protection without ISDS’ made the case of alternatives to Investor protection without ISDS. XavierCarim, South African Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO; Sanya Reid-Smith, Legal Advisor & Senior Researcher, Third World Network and Gus Van Harten, Associate Professor of Law, Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto University took the floor

The high level panel discussion was attended by Anthony Gardner-Luzzatto, US Ambassador to the EU; Bernd Lange, Chair, INTAl; Kai Jan Krainer, Member of Parliament, Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs, Austria; Leopoldo Rubinacci, Head of Unit, DG Trade; Robert Weissman, President, Public Citizen and Monique Goyens, Director General, The European Consumer Organisation.
