You should not publish such misleading text without comment. The text wrongly claims that Peru has no free trade agreement with Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay. But clearly, the facts show otherwise:

This news is indeed a breather for the starving home economy. New FTA’s should be negotiated and those which are under negotiation process should be finalized. But the review process has to be implemented on a priority.

The whole world looks to India as a resilent economy. Our govt. should not loose time.

    Estimados Señores (as)

Interesting article. I’m questioning the accuracy of Mr. Palit’s analysis of President Xi’s consideration of joining TPP talks. If it were true, I believe it would destabilize many of China’s state controlled sectors. China has a population of over 1.3 billion people and does not have the infrastructure (nor political will) to embrace US-style FTAs.

My sense is that this is written for India’s perspective, as there are many in India advocating revision of their Constitution, advocating amendments to the rights and interests of the private sectors and neo-liberal enterprises.

    >The farmers of Canada are not the only ones confronting this problem. Many Latin American Countries are giving property rights and helping the multinationals instead of protecting their farmers. Here we are very concerned because the local farmers are being abandoned by the government and the poverty is increasing. Also food safety is in danger. We the people of the world should join to refuse the action of the multinational and the governments.

True in so many cases not only TPPA. That is why multilateral liberalization will always be superior to the preferential discriminatory deals.

How will this be done given the existence of Customs Union between RF, Kazakhstan and Belorus? Could RF negotiate further PTAs without those two other members of the CU?

I completely agree with you. The most important task before African countries is to ward off the EU-EPA onslaught and focus on deepening trade relationships within the continent. A continent wide FTA is imperative!

ALTHOUGH THERE ARE LEGITMIMATE CONCERNS IN NIGERIA ABOUT SOUTH AFRCICAN COMPETITIVE STRENTGTH, THESE CONCERNS SHOULD PALE INTO SIGNIFICANCE WHEN ONE CONSIDERS THE GREATER STRENGTH OF THE EU VIS VIS AFRICAN ECONOMIES. THUS THE EU SHOULD GO SLOW IN FOISTING EPAS ON AFRICAN COUNTRIES BY SHRINKING MARKET ACCESS FOR NON-SIGNATORIES BY OCTOBER 1, 2014. NIGERIA HAS ALREADY SACRIFICED MARKET ACCESS INTO THE EU BY REFUSING
TO EVEN ENTER INTO INTERIM FTAs WITH THE EU.

iT IS TIME FOR LIKE-MINDED AFRICAN COUNTRIES TO JOIN THORD COUNTIRES WHO WILL BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST EU PREFERENCES TO JOIN TOGETHER TO PRESSURE THE EU TO SLOW UP THE PROCESS OR DELAY IT UNTIL NEXT DECADE. BY THAT TIME, AFRICA SHOULD BE SUFFICIENTLY UNIFIED TO NEGOTIATE AS A GROUP AVOINDING THE DAMAGE TO CURRENT AFRICAN INTEGRATION EFFORTS BY THE EU SIGINING SEPARATE AGREEMENTS WITH MORE VULNERABLE AFRICAN COUNTRIES
