Kurti participates in the Economic Forum in Davos, will sign the free trade agreement with EFTA

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has traveled to Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum being held in Davos.

During his stay at this prestigious forum, according to the media release, Kurti will sign the Free Trade Agreement with the member countries of EFTA (European Free Trade Association), which includes Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Kurti emphasized the importance of this agreement for Kosovo’s economic development.

"Kosovo is the only country in the region that, in addition to negotiating trade in goods, has also managed to negotiate trade in services with EFTA. This agreement will create new opportunities for our local producers and companies, and will strengthen the economic and trade partnership between Kosovo and the EFTA countries," Kurti declared.

The Prime Minister is also said to hold meetings with representatives of friendly countries and international partners, as well as with potential investors.

During his stay in Davos, he will participate in two discussion panels, which will be held at the "House of Kosovo", opened for the first time at this forum.

Kurti will participate in the panel "Durable Democracies in an Era of Change" and the panel "Artificial Intelligence for Humanity: Ethical Innovation in the Age of Intelligence".

In addition to Kurti, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, and the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, are also participating in the Economic Forum in Davos.
