Qatar to sign FTA with Singapore
(MENAFN) The Peninsula reported that Qatar and Singapore will sign a free trade agreement (FTA) covering areas like trade in goods and services, e-commerce, investment, government procurement, customs and media cooperation.
The FTA will be signed at a visit by the Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Doha on December 15. It will spur greater trade and investment linkages, as well as foster an even closer relationship between the two countries.
Last year, Qatar and Singapore signed an agreement on Economic, Commercial and Technical (ECT) Cooperation. Under the agreement, both parties resolve to promote cooperation in areas such as energy, communications, transportation, construction, labor and tourism.
