La Unión Europea y el Mercosur inician hoy en Brasilia el último tramo de negociaciones técnicas con el objetivo de destrabar las diferencias y alcanzar un acuerdo bilateral de libre comercio antes del 30 de octubre, plazo fijado por el cronograma.

EU, Syria compromise on strength of WMD clause
The European Union has "somewhat diluted" a clause calling on Syria to revoke its alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program which has been blocking the signing of a joint political and economic pact, a European diplomat said Tuesday.

New ACP-EU trade arrangements: New barriers to eradicating poverty?
The liberalisation of trade between the EU and ACP countries through the current EPA negotiations will be detrimental to poverty reduction programmes and could even undermine the Cotonou Agreement itself.
