Baku to host Azerbaijan-EU association agreement negotiations
The next round of the negotiations on the association agreement between Azerbaijan and the European Union will be held in Baku in October.
The statement came from charge d’Affaires of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Jerome Pons.
’The next round is scheduled to take place on the first week of October. However, we have regular video-conference meetings with Azerbaijan counterparts so that the negotiations on various part of the agreement can progress between the plenary sessions – what you call "round" of negotiations,’ he said.
The negotiations on Azerbaijan-EU association agreement started last July. The negotiations cover politics, economy, human rights and trade.
The meeting of Azerbaijan-EU Cooperation Committee will also be held in Baku late in September.
