Korean FTA Delegates Leave for the U.S.

(Arirang News.) Korean delegates to Korea-U.S. free trade negotiations are leaving for the U.S. city of Seattle on Monday afternoon for the third round of negotiations. Headed by chief negotiator Kim Jong-hoon, the delegation is made up of 218 officials from 26 ministries and 13 state-run research agencies. The talks will be held for four days from Wednesday.

The third round of talks will proceed based on draft statements agreed in previous meetings. Both sides will reaffirm their interests in market opening plans and reservations and call on each other to make adjustments.
