WSJ: Obama administration expected to submit Korea-US FTA to Congress in January

US President Barack Obama is expected to submit the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement to Congress this month.

The Wall Street Journal says in its online edition for Wednesday that the Obama administration will possibly ask for approval of the trade deal in January and that Congress is expected to kick off a months-long process to determine how the US will move ahead with the agreement.

The daily noted that although US trade representatives were able to win further concessions for American automakers in renegotiations on the FTA in December last year the deal is still facing opposition from labor groups as well as skeptics in both the Republican and Democratic parties.
